I am so happy to announce that one of the great bass players, Mike Dunn, is back with the Ernie Williams Band.

Playing with Mike is an extraordinary musical experience, and he makes everybody in the band a better player...

This was an absolutely fantastic weekend. The Ernie Williams Band opened for B.B. King on Saturday night at the Palace Theater in Albany, and Sunday night at Symphony Hall in Boston. The Palace Theater was great, and its wonderful playing at home. But for a kid from Boston, nothing can compare with the thrill of playing at Boston’s Symphony Hall. That is something I never thought would ever happen in my lifetime. I want to take this opportunity to thank Ernie Williams for giving me the thrill of a lifetime by letting me play with his band at Symphony Hall. Special thanks goes out to Rocky, Jay, Willie, Mike and Aaron for being so supportive, and helping me through a very nervous time – they are great players, but most importantly, great friends.

Played 3 shows at Saratoga First Night (New Years Eve) - everything went great and the guys in the band were outstanding. Ernie was Ernie – that means he stole the show and everybody loved him! I’m really looking forward to a weekend at the end of the month opening for B.B. King. Check out the calendar for more details….

I’m right in the middle of the Melodies of Christmas show at Proctor’s Theater in Schenectady, NY. The featured performers are the Empire State Youth Orchestra and Chorale. Ernie and the guys – Rocky, Jason, Mike, Aaron and Willie have just played great during these performances. As always it’s a pleasure to work with them. Everyone connected with this show is absolutely terrific! If you can’t be there live, the show will be broadcast on WRGB, Channel 6 in the Albany area on Christmas Eve and rebroadcast on Christmas day.

The Boston Blues Festival was fantastic! Ernie Williams was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award – very well deserved!
Ernie was fabulous as always and Jason, Rocky and Aaron played great. My thanks to everyone who made our stay there just terrific.

Who says you can't go home again? I'm really looking forward to the Boston Blues Festival on the Esplanade in Boston on September 24th. The Boston Blues Society will be honoring Ernie Williams with a Lifetime Achievement Award and I’m really proud to be performing with him and the rest of the band on that special day.
I expect to see all my hometown buddies coming out to say hello and catching some great blues on the banks of the Charles River!!

My thanks to everyone that came out to the Empire State Plaza! Ernie was just fantastic and David, Mike, Rocky, Aaron and Willie just played great. It is a pleasure and honor to make music with them..

Jason LaDanye has just released his new album. I had the pleasure of playing on one of the cuts, and it was nothing but a blast! Also, I had a great time surprising his bass player, Steve Aldi, at the cd release party by sneaking in the back door of the club to do a quick chorus or two….

Looking forward to a fantastic July as a member of the Ernie Williams Band. There are a number of exciting concerts and festivals that all of us are really excited about.
